The series will provide Dhawan a chance to gain match practice as he missed the last two Tests against Sri Lanka after fracturing his hand in the Galle match.

Dhawan scored a brilliant century in the opening Test before being ruled out of the next two, which India went on to win and seal a historic series triumph.

The tour begins with Bangladesh A playing three one-dayers on September 16, 18 and 20 before taking on India’s domestic champions Karnataka in a three-day game from September 22. The tour finishes with a three-day match against India A from September 27.

For the limited overs leg of the tour, Delhi batsman Unmukt Chand will captain the team.

There are other prominent names in the Indian team selected for the series. Fast bowler Varun Aaron, who was dropped after the first Test against Sri Lanka, and limited overs specialists Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja have been given a chance to regain their form.

The Indian selectors have also included young spinners like chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav and offie Jayant Yadav along with regulars Jadeja and leg-spinner Karn Sharma.

Jayant has been included in both squads with the only other player to find his name in both sheets being Karnataka batsman Karun Nair. The 23-year-old rose to prominence for his second-innings century that helped save a four-day match against South Africa A.
