Top bowler: Mitchell Johnson, 37 wickets

Barring the opening day of the first Test at Gabba when Stuart Broad took five wickets, it was Australia all the way as Mitchell Johnson struck terror in the English camp with his pace and bounce. It was Australia’s second whitewash in seven years.

Cook and Anderson were the heroes as England clinched their first Ashes in Australia after 24 years. Kevin Pietersen also dazzled with a classic 227 in the Adelaide Test. The series was Ricky Ponting’s last as Test captain.
