Decks have been cleared for India’s trip to Zimbabwe next month with the Board of Control for Cricket in India confirming the 10-day tour.

– Cricket: UAE falter in run chase as they lose to Kenya
– SLvPAK: Sangakkara to retire during India series

– Day 3: Pakistan fight back in second Sri Lanka Test

The limited-overs series comprising three One-day internationals and two Twenty20 internationals was under doubt reportedly due to differences between the BCCI and broadcasters for the series, Ten Sports and there was also speculation that India were planning to send a second string team.

However, the issue was resolved after BCCI and Zimbabwe Cricket officials met on the sidelines of the International Cricket Council annual conference that concluded on Friday.

ZC chairman Wilson Manase and chief executive officer Wilfred Mukondiwa had several interactions with BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur in Barbados and eventually managed to break the ice.

The national selectors will be picking the Indian squad on Monday for the tour which commences from July 10 and there is no official word on whether senior players of the squad that did duty during the embarrassing 2-1 series loss in Bangladesh will be rested.

“So far, no one has informed me about non-availability of any player,” chief selector Sandeep Patil (above) told the Press Trust of India.

The selection committee will also be selecting the India ‘A’ team for the home tri-series involving Australia ‘A’ and South Africa ‘A’, to be played in Chennai and Wayanad, Kerala from July 19.
