Banned fast-bowler Mohammad Amir will play his first outing in Pakistan’s top domestic cricket league when he lines-up for Rawalpindi Rams in the upcoming Super-Eight T20 competition which will be played from May 11-17.

The left-arm pacer has been allowed to play domestic cricket by the ICC before his ban ends in September 2015 and he recently represented Omar Associates in second-tier Grade-II competition and looked to be in good rhythm on his comeback.

However, he did suffer an injury in all important final and the hamstring muscle did not allow him to return to bowl in the four-day final.

Amir regained his fitness and is currently practicing at National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore, where he is relishing the prospect of guiding his team Rawalpindi to the coveted championship.

The 23-year-old represented Pakistan in 14 Tests, 15 ODIs and 18 T20Is and was involved in ill-fated spot-fixing case where he bowled two no-balls on tour of England.

He was later arrested along with skipper Salman Butt and teammate Mohammad Asif.
