The first clash between England and Pakistan ended in a literal damp squib, but Jofra Archer brought some heat to The Oval before it was rained off.

However, England have decided to take a look at other players – with their World Cup opener looming on May 30 – with Archer, James Vince and Joe Denly all dropping out for Jason Roy, Moeen Ali and David Willey.

As for Pakistan, the leg-spin of Yasir Shah is in for the pace of Mohammad Amir, who is reportedly suffering with a virus.
