South Africa fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is one of the most lethal quicks in the world and the ace of his country’s attack.

Not only is Rabada quick, but he maintains a good line and length, generally hitting the spot he wants despite his extreme pace.

However, during the one-off T20 against Australia on Saturday, Rabada’s radar went awry.

Bowling to Glenn Maxwell in the ninth and penultimate over as the Proteas looked to defend their total of 108-6 in what was a 10-overs-aside game in Carrara, Rabada lost control of the ball and the cherry ballooned over to point.

The umpires, after a lengthy conversation, called it a dead ball as Rabada hadn’t completed his action. Had Rabada’s arm come over his shoulder when the ball slipped out of his hand, it could have been called a wide.
