10:15pm – India on the mat at Lord’s as England’s pacers make hay

The second day of the Lord’s Test between England and India has drawn to a close and it is the hosts who have seized control of the match. The Indians were bowled out for just 107 runs after being made to bat first in overcast conditions by Joe Root. Ravichandran Ashwin top-scored for India with a 29 while James Anderson was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 5-20.

5:15 pm – Pujara run out before rain delay

Cheteshwar Pujara was run-out following a mix-up with captain Virat Kohli as India were reduced to 15-3 before yet another rain interruption in the second Test against England at Lord’s.

Earlier, James Anderson picked up the wickets of openers Murali Vijay and KL Rahul on a pitch that offered a lot of lateral movement.

1:45 pm – England bowl first at Lord’s 

Joe Root won the toss and decided to bowl first in the second Test against India at Lord’s.

England went in with all-rounder Chris Woakes for the unavailable Ben Stokes while the visitors selected Cheteshwar Pujara and Kuldeep Yadav.

1:00 pm – Play expected to get underway at Lord’s

London saw clear skies on Friday morning, raising hopes of a full day’s play in the second Test between England and India at Lord’s.

The opening day was washed out following persistent rain.

12:30 pm – Sohail Tanvir gives middle-finger send-off 

Sohail Tanvir of the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Tanvir landed himself in trouble after he showed Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting two middle fingers after dismissing him in the Caribbean Premier League.

The actions of Guyana pacer Tanvir attracted a lot of criticism on social media and the left-arm seamer is expected to face strict action.

12:00 – Sandeep Lamichhane on fire

Nepal leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane finished with fine figures of 2-12 from his four overs in the CPL.

However, despite his best efforts, his team the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots ended up losing the match against Guyana Amazon Warriors by six wickets.
