Perth Scorchers have featured in the Champions League Twenty20 two times but none of those appearances were worthy of appreciation, finishing seventh (2012) and tenth (2013).

But this time round, they are confident of putting up a much better show, feels star batsman Mitchell Marsh ahead of the Scorchers’ opening game against Dolphins at Mohali today (start 14:30).

“We obviously had a poor Champions League T20 on both previous occasions. But there is a good feeling in the squad,” he said.

“We are probably the best squad that we have had so far to travel for the CLT20 yet. All the young guys who are part of the side have experience playing at this level, so we feel we are more than ready now than ever before. We have had a great week-and-a-half training hard so we are very well prepared and ready to put there out in the middle,” he added.
