James Faulkner returns as Australia name ODI and T20 squads for India tour

Cricket Australia has announced the squads for the five-match One Day International (ODI)  and three-match T20I series for the tour of India in September.

All-rounder James Faulkner makes a return to the side after his absence in the Champions Trophy squad along with pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile.

Faulkner has been called back keeping his vast experience in the subcontinent courtesy his Indian Premier League (IPL) stints while Coulter-Nile has also impressed for his IPL franchisee in recent times.

Young spinner Ashton Agar has been called-up to the ODI squad while wicket-keeper Tim Paine and all-rounder Dan Christian have been given a T20I spot.

The venue and schedule of the matches is yet to be announced by the BCCI but Cricket Australia confirmed that the fixtures will be played from September 17 to October 13.

Steve Smith (capt), David Warner, Jason Behrendorff, Dan Christian, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Pat Cummins, Aaron Finch, Travis Head, Moises Henriques, Glenn Maxwell, Tim Paine, Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa.
