Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon’s heroics with the ball in the final session of play saw India restricted to 248-6 at the end of day two of the fourth Test at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala.

Lyon picked up four wickets for Australia in the final session after KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara had scored half-centuries earlier in the day. Both batsmen failed to convert their fifties into big scores, though, which will be frustrating for the Indian team.

The hosts are still 52 runs behind Australia’s first innings total, with Wriddhiman Saha and Ravindra Jadeja in the middle.

On Twitter, former Australian captain Michael Clarke felt that India played right into the hands of the visitors’ plans in the post-tea session.

Former Indian cricketers Sanjay Manjrekar and Aakash Chopra, on the other hand, were full of praise for Lyon.

Here, we collect the top tweets of the day.
