Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh will miss the remaining two Tests in the series against India due to a shoulder injury.

Marsh hasn’t had the best of times in Test cricket recently. In the two Tests of this series, he managed just 48 runs in four innings and bowled only five overs without picking up a wicket.

He has played 21 Tests for Australia, thus far, scoring 674 runs at an average of 21.74 with the bat and has picked up 29 wickets at an average of 37.48 with the ball.

A replacement for the 25-year-old is expected to be announced soon.

With Marsh ruled out, the Australian team will be forced to make a change having played the same XI in the two Tests so far.

After the loss in Bengaluru, it’ll be interesting to see if the visitors decide to pick Glenn Maxwell or Ashton Agar as an all-round option or go for the specialist batsman in Usman Khawaja.

With the series tied at 1-1, India and Australia will their resume their battle in the third Test in Ranchi on March 16.
