LIVE: Ball-by-ball scorecard and commentary of India vs England – Third Test, day three

With the match in the balance, it’s a crucial day three in the third Test between India and England at Mohali.

England looked to have had India on the mat at 204/6, but Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have helped the hosts get very close to England’s first innings total.

The duo will be hopeful of adding some more crucial runs to India’s total on Monday. The Virat Kohli-led team would want a reasonably good first innings lead to cancel out the disadvantage of batting last on a pitch that is expected to deteriorate as the match progresses.

On the other hand, England will be looking to put an end to the Ashwin-Jadeja partnership and get rid of India’s tail as soon as possible. Being 1-0 down in the series, the visitors cannot afford to let India to get into an advantageous situation.
