England wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow has signed up for a brief stint with T10 League side Kerala Knights.

According to ESPNcricinfo, the Englishman will play the remaining matches of the T10 League for the Knights in Sharjah and stay back if they qualify for the knockouts.

Bairstow joins England teammates Tom Curran and Eoin Morgan – captain of the side – and franchise icons Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard.

Bairstow had earlier scored an emotional century in Sri Lanka in the third Test in Colombo after missing out on the first two due to an ankle injury.

He saw his wicketkeeping gloves taken up by Ben Foakes and also lost his preferred middle-order position.
