Opening batsman Babar Azam hit a sparkling fifty but couldn’t stop South Africa from snatching a seven-run win in the second T20 in Jo’burg.

South Africa posted 188-3 thanks to an attacking fifty from captain David Miller. Pakistan needed 36 from the last three overs but lost five wickets to fall short of the target.

Pakistan were in need of a feel-good factor after struggling in both the Tests and ODIs in South Africa – and a win in Johannesburg was their last chance.

They have thus lost the Test, ODI and T20 series of their South Africa tour.
