New Zealand make quick work of Pakistan on final day in Abu Dhabi to claim series victory

New Zealand’s bowlers raced through Pakistan on the final day of the third Test to win by 123 runs and claim the three-match series 2-1.

Pakistan were set 280 runs when the Blackcaps declared earlier in the day, but were dismissed for 156 in 56.1 overs. Spinners Ajaz Patel (3-42) and Will Somerville (3-52) caused the most damage in Abu Dhabi.

It was New Zealand’s first away series win against Pakistan in 49 years.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam top-scored with 51.

New Zealand won the first Test by four runs in Abu Dhabi, while a dominant Pakistan were victorious in the second by an innings and 16 runs in Dubai.
