Pakistan batsman Babar Azam celebrated his maiden Test century with a fighting 127 not out against New Zealand in the Dubai Test.

Azam was dismissed for 99 in the recent Abu Dhabi Test against Australia and he made sure to finally reach three figures in his 32nd innings.

However, what should have been a day of celebrations and congratulatory messages took a different turn as the young batsman got angered by a tweet from a Pakistani journalist.

After his fine effort in Dubai, Azam was sent a message on Twitter by journalist Zainab Abbas, who wrote: “Well played Babar Azam. Loved how the boys went congratulating Mickey Arthur celebrating his “son’s” century.”

While the context of the tweet was unclear, Azam took exception to the ‘son’ remark and replied: “Think before u say something and don’t try to cross ur limits!!!”
