Pakistan beat New Zealand by six wickets to seal series and claim 11th successive win

Pakistan defeated New Zealand by six wickets in the second Twenty20 international in Dubai on Friday to win the three-match series having taken a 2-0 lead.

The victory was their 11th successive T20I win, reiterating their status as the format’s best team at the moment.

New Zealand posted 153-7 with Corey Anderson (44 not out) and Colin Munro (44) top-scoring having won the toss and electing to bat first.

In response, Pakistan chased down the target in 19.4 overs, losing four wickets in the process.

Mohammad Hafeez (34 not out) hit the winning boundary while Babar Azam scored 40 and Asif Ali made 38.

Pakistan won the first match by two runs in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. The third and final match is in Dubai on Sunday.
