Pakistan star all-rounder Shoaib Malik joined a select group of T20 stars as he crossed the 8,000 run mark in the Caribbean Premier League.

During the course of his 38-run knock for the Guyana Amazon Warriors against Barbados Tridents, Malik became just the fourth batsman to score 8,000 runs in the 20-over format.

Caribbean legend Chris Gayle leads the list with 11,575 runs followed by Brendon McCullum (9,188) and Kieron Pollard (8,225).

Interestingly, Malik doesn’t have single century in the T20 format but has 47 fifties.

Also, Malik is also one of only five batsmen to have over 2,000 runs in T20 Internationals.
