Pakistan pace spearhead Mohammad Amir took part in training on Friday to reduce concerns about his bowling fitness.

Amir had picked up a knee injury during Ireland‘s inaugural Test in Dublin which Pakistan ultimately won by five wickets. Amir was forced off the field on the third day of the Test as his old knee injury flared up.

He trained with the team on Friday ahead of their two-day warm-up match against Leicestershire which starts on Saturday and was seen bowling at the nets.

However, according to The Express Tribune, Wahab Riaz, Waqas Maqsood and Mir Hamza are among the bowlers who have been identified as possible replacements for Amir.

The two-Test series between Pakistan and England begins on the May 24.
