After bonding with each other at Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne’s Cricket All-Stars, the duo were seen having a great time in the commentary box during the ICC World T20.

The two traded several verbal volleys on air, reminding fans of their many battles during India-Pakistan matches.

Ahead of the WT20, a remark from Viru put the former Pakistani pacer in an awkward position. During a chat show the former Indian opener stated that retired Pakistan cricketers praised the current Indian cricketers due to financial reasons.

Taking to social-micro blogging site Twitter, the Rawalpindi Express dismissed it as an immature comment from Sehwag before Shoaib later deleted his tweet.

Sehwag was presented with another opportunity to have a go at the Pakistani after India crushed Pakistan 5-1 in the ongoing Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh.

The 37-year-old used the very popular ‘mauka’ ‘mauka’ ad to troll Akhtar. Wasting no time, fans and followers of Viru went on to widely circulate the tweet.

Interestingly, Shoaib’s reply was extremely measured and steered clear of any further controversy.

In these times of carefully-worded press statements and when Indo-Pak relations are as strained as ever, it is refreshing to see the former foes have a bit of friendly banter.
