India off-spinner Ravi Ashwin is never short of ideas. The veteran off-spinner is constantly trying to innovate in an attempt to stay one step ahead in a batsman-dominated game.

Be it changing his action, the carom ball or even leg-spin bowling, Ashwin has never shied away from trying something new to remain competitive – especially in limited overs cricket.

In his latest attempt to deceive the batsman, Ashwin unveiled a ‘back of the body’ delivery.

Playing for Dindigul Dragons in the Tamil Nadu Premier League, Ashwin tried to unsettle the batsman by hiding the ball behind his back in his run-up, delivering the ball well after he was in his delivery stride.

In another instance, Ashwin hid the ball behind his back and delivered the ball midway through his stride. The deception worked as Ashwin picked up the wicket as well. Watch the innovation below.
