New Zealand required less than 15 overs to defeat India by eight wickets on Thursday after the visitors crumbled without talisman Virat Kohli and posted their lowest one-day international total since 2010.

Trent Boult took 5-21 as swing reigned supreme in Hamilton and saw India dismissed for just 92 runs off 30.5 overs, during the fourth one-day international.

Ross Taylor, who ended with an unbeaten 37 off 25 balls, then helped guide the Black Caps to their modest winning target for the loss of just two wickets in 14.4 overs.

The landslide avoided a whitewash for the hosts, leaving the five-match series at 3-1 in India’s favour.
