With the Indian Premier League (IPL) frenzy in full swing, it seems the legendary Sachin Tendulkar has caught the bug too.

The ‘Master Blaster’, who is the ‘icon’ of the Mumbai Indians franchise, can be seen playing cricket on the streets of Mumbai in a video shared by his close friend and former India and Mumbai team-mate Vinod Kambli.

“Master Blaster good to see you enjoying like old times,” Kambli wrote on Twitter as he shared the video.

In the video, Tendulkar can be seen wielding the bat even as heavy traffic continues to flow in the adjacent street. If there was ever any doubt on whether the cricketing demigod still possesses that immaculate timing, the video dispels them comprehensively.

The 44-year-old, who called time on his glittering international career in 2013, looked to be enjoying himself wholeheartedly as he brought out his trademark flowing cover drive.

‘Gully’ or street cricket, is hugely popular all over the Indian subcontinent with youngsters and adults alike participating in the activity which is usually played with a tennis ball.

Tendulkar’s IPL outfit Mumbai Indians could sure use a helping hand from the batting maestro right now given their poor start to the 2018 edition. The defending champions have lost all three of their matches in the competition so far and are firmly rooted to the bottom of the eight-team table at the moment.
