After winning the hearts of one and all with his sensational batting in the final Test between Sri Lanka and India in Pallekele recently, Hardik Pandya has gone a step further with a special gift for his father.
The Indian all-rounder a new SUV for his dad Himanshu Pandya.
On Wednesday evening, the 23-year-old, who is currently in Sri Lanka, arranged for the special gift through his brother back home in India, Krunal Pandya.
Just days after hitting his maiden first-class let alone Test century with a power-packed 108 off just 96 deliveries in the Pallekele Test, Pandya gave his father another reason to be proud.
The all-rounder posted a video on Twitter of his dad’s emotional reaction with brother Krunal in tow.
Pandya has come a long way ever since he burst on to the global stage with his match-winning performances in the Indian Premier League.
Within no time the right-hander has cemented his place in the limited-overs set up for India. While there were doubts whether his skill could be effective in the five-day format of the game, Pandya has erased most of them with his performance in the recently concluded Test series against Sri Lanka.
With one ton and another half-century in the three innings he played in the series to go with four crucial wickets, the Mumbai Indians sensation has provided Virat Kohli with the option of fielding a genuine seaming all-rounder in overseas conditions.
For now, Pandya’s attention will be diverted to the five-match One Day Internationals (ODI’s) series against the hosts starting on Sunday.
