Australia ended India’s 19-match unbeaten run in Test cricket with a 333-run victory in Pune on Saturday.
Not many gave the visitors a chance going into the series, but left-arm spinner Steve Keefe’s 12-wicket haul and captain Steve Smith’s 109 in the second innings helped them register a famous win.
There were a lot of reactions to the match on Twitter, with even Hollywood actor Russell Crowe tweeting about the Test.
Australian legend Shane Warne hailed Smith’s batting effort while former England captain Michael Vaughan and former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif said that India got Australia into the game by preparing such a pitch.
