They say ‘old habits die hard’ and that was case with MS Dhoni during the first ODI between India and England at Pune on Sunday.

There was a strong appeal against England captain Eoin Morgan from the former Indian skipper standing behind the stumps, but the umpire CK Nandan gave it not out.

Dhoni, forgetting that he is not the captain any longer, immediately signalled to the umpire that he wanted a review. But as is the protocol, the current captain Virat Kohli had to make the signal and only then was the review sent upstairs.

The review was a successful one and the decision was overturned as a nick was spotted on ultra-edge.

You can’t really blame Dhoni here as this was the first time since 2008 that he was wasn’t captaining the Indian side while playing and it will get some getting used to.
