When you go through the ICC Test Team of the Year for 2016, you don’t find the name of Indian Test captain Virat Kohli.

Kohli has been in superb form this year, but lost out as the time frame for the awards is between 14 September 2015 to 20 September 2016. During that period, Kohli scored 451 runs at an average of 45.10 with just one hundred to his name.

Although Kohli has had a superb year in Test cricket, two out of the three double centuries he has scored in 2016 came after the deadline ended.

Most Indian fans on Twitter though weren’t aware of the same and this led to a lot of outrage.

Here is a collection of some of the tweets.
