India won the first Test comfortably, beating the tourists by 197 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series.

It means that New Zealand must respond immediately if they are to win the series.

That chance is given them at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens, but the iconic stadium will not be an easy place to do so considering the weight of India’s home advantage.
