India’s captain cool MS Dhoni pays a visit to Bollywood megastar Salman Khan

14:08 13/04/2016

A day before the teaser of his upcoming film Sultan was released, Salman Khan had a special guest over at his place at the Galaxy Apartments in Bandra.

The special guest was none other than India’s limited overs captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who dropped by at the actor’s residence with his wife Sakshi and former aviation minister Praful Patel’s daughter, Poorna. It is reported that the trio partied with Salman into the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

Dhoni, who is taking part in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League as the captain of the Rising Pune Supergiants, was in town for his team’s tournament opener against the Mumbai Indians.

Reports also suggest that the party was a close knit affair, unlike Salman’s usual big bashes. In fact, the actor, ever the gracious host, stepped out in person to welcome his guests. It is said that Salman and Dhoni discussed a wide variety of topics including music, cricket and movies. However, both of them bonded over conversations related to fitness – something the two feel strongly about.

Dhoni also met Salman’s father, Salim Khan, and talked to the veteran Bollywood writer about cricket and beyond.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to the meeting between two of India’s most iconic names:

Is this the beginning of a new friendship? Only time will tell.

Here’s the first look of Salman’s upcoming film, Sultan slated to release later this year:
