Afghanistan take on England for the second time in their history on Monday afternoon armed with an impressive victory over Pakistan from their opening World Cup warm-up.

England fell to Australia by 12 runs in their own warm-up, but have received positive news in the form of the all-clear for Mark Wood – who had tweaked his ankle – and the return of their captain Eoin Morgan to action.

Morgan suffered a small fracture to his finger but was set to play Afghanistan at The Oval, where the hosts bowl first.
