Cricket history will be incomplete without Indian master blaster Sachin Tendulkar because of all those thousands of runs he milked against every opposition which came his way.

Sitting top of the batting charts in both Tests and one-day format by a considerable comfort, Sachin became more than a player for not only India but the world.

He is one of only two players to have played at six world cups – alongside Javed Miandad of Pakistan. But, what is equally impressive is the 45 appearances he made over those six campaigns, one game less than Australia's Ricky Ponting.

Sachin’s willow remained sharp at the mega event as he slaughtered opponents with utmost disdain, managing 2278 runs from 44 innings at an average of 56.95, with 21 scores of over to his credit hitting 27 sixes 241 boundaries in his career.

The 21 scores of over 50 include six centuries and 15 fifties, but it is that score of 21 which will take an eternity to beat.
