Chittagong Vikings have pulled out of the next edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 tournament, according to a report.

Cricbuzz reported BPL acting chairman Sheikh Sohel stated the franchise will be unable to continue in BPL.

”They have mailed saying that they are unable to continue in the tournament,” Sohel was quoted as saying.

”But we are waiting for the arrival of their franchise owner. They were with us for the last five years so we hope that we can convince them to be part of BPL,” Sohel added.

The franchise failed to send the list of  players they wanted to retain for the next edition of the tournament in Bangladesh. According to the report, the last date submission of the list was September 30.

The latest installment of BPL will be played in January instead of October so that it doesn’t clash with the general elections in the country.
