Australia captain Tim Paine has warned his side they must deliver an all-round effort if they want to save their ODI series against England.

The world champions are 2-0 down in the five-match series following their 38-run defeat on Saturday. England posted 342 with Jason Roy top-scoring with 120 as well as  quickfire 91 from Jos Buttler which was enough despite Shaun Marsh’s 131 for the Australians.

The teams meet again on Tuesday in Nottingham and the skipper wants his players to raise their game.

“I think we can, I really do,” said wicket-keeper Paine. “I think our best cricket is good enough to beat these guys, we just haven’t put the complete package together.

“In the first game we didn’t bat well and (in Cardiff) we didn’t bowl as well as we would have liked.”
