Shashank Manohar is set to replace N Srinivasan as International Cricket Council chairman.

Manohar's anticipated elevation to the role at the top of world cricket administration follows the Board of Control for Cricket in India's reported decision at its annual general meeting to remove Srinivasan as its ICC representative.

Fifty-eight-year-old Manohar therefore seems sure to take Srinivasan's position as ICC chairman, and remain in the role until the end of the initially scheduled tenure – which is June next year.

The ICC has yet to confirm the switch, still awaiting communication from the BCCI.

A short statement from the global governing body read: "The ICC notes media reports, but it is yet to receive an official notification from the BCCI regards its decision to change its nominee to the ICC board."
