9:40 pm – Shahid Afridi part of Super Boxing League 

Pakistan legend Shahid Afridi teamed up with boxing star Amir Khan to launch the Super Boxing League in Pakistan.

Afridi owns the Pakhtoon Warriors while former pacer Wasim Akram bought Multan Nawabs.

8:30 pm – Adil Rashid says England would have beaten any Aussie team

England leg-spinner Adil Rashid said England would have beaten Australia even if the visitors had all their first-choice players.

“Those players were still playing in Australia – Steve Smith, (David) Warner, (Pat) Cummins, (Josh) Hazlewood. They were still playing. We won 4-1 there (in last series), and here it’s 4-0, so I think it’s very similar,” Rashid said.

3:15pm – Virat Kohli and India team on their way to England

The Indian cricket team, led by Virat Kohli departed for their tour of England on Saturday morning. The side left Mumbai airport for the UK where they will play a T20 series against Ireland before moving to England for a T20, ODI and Test series. Read more on that story here.

12:15pm – Suranga Lakmal named Sri Lanka captain for third Test against West Indies 

The 31-year-old will lead his team out later this evening for the third and final Test against West Indies. The bowler replaces Dinesh Chandimal who lost his appeal on a one-match ban on Friday. Australia take on England in their fifth and final ODI on Sunday with the tourists looking to end their disappointing tour on a high. Nothing has gone right for Tim Paine’s side and those problems began way before they landed in London.
