10:45 pm – Scotland beat England by six runs

Scotland defeated world No1 team England by six runs in a high scoring match in Edinburgh on Sunday.

Scotland posted a mammoth 371 for five batting first with Calum MacLeod smashing 140.

Their bowlers then kept thewir cool despite a blazing ton from Jonny Bairstow to win by six runs.

10:30 pm – Windies thrash Sri Lanka

West Indies defeated Sri Lanka by 226 runs in the first Test in Trinidad on Sunday.

Kusal Mendis scored a century but it wasn’t enough as Roston Chase picked up four wickets to seal victory.

7:15 pm – Jonny Bairstow hits whirlwind century

England opener Jonny Bairstow smashed 105 from just 59 balls to help his team remain on track as they chased a mammoth target of 372 against Scotland in their one-off ODI on Sunday.

England were 175-2 after 20 overs after the Scots posted a record total in Edinburgh.

Afghanistan players landed in Bengaluru for their inaugural Test against India which starts on Thursday.

The Afghans enter the Test high on confidence after defeating Bangaldesh 3-0 in a T20 series.

England pace bowler Jimmy Anderson is to miss Lancashire’s next two matches as he rests a long-standing shoulder injury ahead of the forthcoming Test series with India.

2.16pm: Pakistan teenager Shaheen Shah Afridi itching to leave his mark in T20I series against Scotland

Young Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is eager to make his mark in the upcoming T20I series against Scotland after a promising start to his international career.

The 18-year-old left-armer is the latest product from Pakistan’s impressive assembly line for pace bowlers and will be one to keep an eye on when Pakistan play Scotland in two T20Is in Edinburgh.

Shaheen (L) is delighted to be retained in the Pakistan T20I squad.

“I’m happy about being able retain my place in the Pakistan side and want to perform well in the upcoming series against Scotland,” the youngster said in an interview with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

12.42pm: Suspended David Warner to turn commentator for Australia’s ODI series against England

David Warner is all set to take up commentating duties during the upcoming ODI series between England and Australia.

Australia’s Channel Nine network announced on Saturday that Warner will be part of the commentary team for the England series with the suspended cricketer set to take over microphone duties from the second ODI.

The 31-year-old former  vice-captain was handed a 12-month suspension from international and domestic cricket by Cricket Australia along with then skipper Steve Smith for his role in the ball-tampering saga which took place on the tour of South Africa.

11.02am Physical altercation with Mehidy Hasan the reason Bangladesh dropped Sabbir Rahman for final T20I against Afghanistan

Bangladesh’s Sabbir Rahman was dropped for third and final T20I against Afghanistan due to disciplinary reasons it has been revealed.

Sabbir was not picked for the final game in the recently concluded T20I series against Afghanistan at Dehradun. Afghanistan went on to whitewash Bangladesh 3-0.

Sabbir continues to grapple with disciplinary issues.

According to a report by Cricbuzz, a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official has confirmed that the 26-year-old was dropped because of disciplinary reasons.

The report states that Sabbir got into a verbal argument with all-rounder Mehidy Hasan during the second T20I which soon ensued into a physical altercation.
