Former India batsman Sachin Tendulkar‘s son Arjun was selected in the India Under 19 side for the two four-day games in Sri Lanka, on Friday.

18-year old Arjun is a tall left-arm fast bowler and a handy middle-order batsman. He has trained under former India fast bowler Subroto Banerjee, his father’s close friend.

Arjun has bowled at the India nets in the recent past while also taking part in a camp for fast bowlers organised by the BCCI at Dharamsala.

11:15am – Australia off to winning start on tour of England thanks to Marcus Stoinis century

Marcus Stoinis’ century guided Australia to an underwhelming 57-run victory over Sussex as they returned to action for the first time since March’s ball-tampering scandal.

Stoinis pressed his claims for Australia’s number three slot for the five-match one-day series against England by blasting a pivotal 110 at Hove.

Marcus Stoinis guided Australia to victory.

A tepid Australia performance will have frustrated new head coach Justin Langer and skipper Tim Paine however, with Sussex’s inaccurate batting blowing the chance for a famous victory.
