#360Awards: The final results are in as readers select their sporting icons for 2014

After two weeks of polling, the votes have been counted with Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, Ali Mabkhout, Alia Saeed, Real Madrid and Abu Dhabi Harlequins your leading lights from a brilliant 12 months.

International Sportsman of the Year – Novak Djokovic
The Serb held off the challenge of Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo and F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton to take top spot in a year he claimed his second Wimbledon title.

International Sportswoman of the Year – Serena Williams
Williams, at 33, continues to dominate the rankings in women's tennis despite a clutch of young pretenders to her throne. Hungardian swimming Katinka Hosszu was a close second.

International Team of the Year – Real Madrid
A 10th European Cup and a 22-match winning run to end 2014 saw the ever-popular Madrid voted ahead of World Cup winners Germany and F1 constructors' champions Mercedes.

Regional Sportsman of the Year – Ali Mabkhout
Top scorer at the Gulf Cup with five while his nine goals have taken Al Jazira to the top of the Arabian Gulf League, Mabkhout finished ahead of Volvo Ocean Race sailor Adil Khalid.

 

Regional Sportswoman of the Year – Alia Saeed
Saeed made history in September when she claimed the UAE's first ever gold medal at the Asian Games in the 10,000m. That saw her voted ahead of Bahrain middle distance runner Jamal.


 

Regional Team of the Year – Abu Dhabi Harlequins
An overwhelming victory for Quins who landed the UAE Premiership title despite losing their opening two games and followed that up by triumphing at the Dubai Sevens.
